Design Fail
Tsubo shoe company supposedly creates shoes for the design-conscious. “It fuses metropolitan style with ergonomic design, ensuring that you will never sacrifice style for comfort, or vice versa.” That all sounds great in theory, but in practice they have quite a long way to go.... [+]
Oscars and Oscar
Shoes are not big heroes at the Oscars, so there’s not a lot to talk about there. But I thought it would be nice to talk about the other Oscar, Oscar De La Renta, I mean. Here are the shoes for the Fall/Winter 2012... [+]
2011 Dorothy Slipper
They are not ruby red, but they have an uncanny resemblance to the most coveted shoes in the Wizard of Oz. Miu Miu released these glitter peep toe ankle booties for the 2011 Fall Collection. You can find them at the store for $745. Want... [+]
Slap On A Bow
Adidas took their original Concord shoe and created the Sleek Series for women. They basically “dolled” them up by slapping a bow on top and adding some some sparkle and shine. How stereotypical of them.

Balenciaga Ice Queen
If the White Witch from Narnia lived here today, she would wear these shoes designed by Balenciaga. Photos from Oracle Fox
Prada Needs A Boost
Fresh from their Spring Runway Collection, here are the Prada Jewel-Toe Flame sandals. They come with rocket booster on the back and all. Maybe that justifies the retail price of $1,450… or maybe not. Photos from Neiman Marcus
Greek Gods Will Fall
This is Reebok’s Greek Mythology sneaker series. I just think there is nothing godly about them. Photos from Sneaker Freaker
